According to The Wall Street Journal, the popular domain registrar and hosting company Godaddy is for sale!
The company is believed to attract upto $1 billion during the auction. Go Daddy Group Inc. hired Qatalyst Partners (investment banking firm) to manage auction according to the Journal.
The main reason behind this sale is not mentioned by any party. In 2006 Godaddy registered with the SEC to go public, however they withdrew it’s filing.
According to an estimate, GoDaddy brought nearly $800 million in revenue in 2009. This obviously estimate above $1 billion sale price.
So who’s going to win the auction for the company? Google ? Microsoft ? Apple ? or any other ?
