Apple has claimed patent against HTC smart phones and is trying to block their sales by claiming that they have infringed upon its five patents from hardware for touch screens to movement sensors.
Apple claims HTC is infringing five patents related to software architecture and user interfaces in portable electronic devices, hardware for touch screens and movement sensors, according to the complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission in Washington. The complaint filed July 8 is the second Apple has filed against Taoyuan, Taiwan-based HTC.
HTC, Taiwan based company, isn’t accepting these claims and is taking the matter seriously. They have denied any such claims and will defend its own intellectual property as it did in past too.
HTC is dismayed that Apple has resorted to competition in the courts rather than the marketplace,” said Grace Lei, HTC’s general counsel. “HTC continues to vehemently deny all of Apple’s past and present claims against it and will continue to protect and defend its own intellectual property as it has already done this year.
Seems like Apple is trying its best to dominate the smart phones and tablets industry in united states specially. However they are not doing it just by introducing revolutionary ideas and unbeatable products, rather, also taking courts with them along the way.
