Apple released iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on 22nd november.
The new iOS 4.2 was the most awaited version of the firmware (Specially for iPad) due to multi tasking and many other completely new and useful features for the Apple devices.
The new iOS 4.2 can be downloaded from iTunes directly too for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. However, please note, that you need to have 10.1 version of iTunes to be able to update your device to the latest firmware 4.2.
Please note, if you rely on jailbreak or unlocking your iPhone, make sure that the jailbreak and unlock for iOS 4.2 on your device is released or not before continuing to update your firmware to iOS 4.2
