Google blocked iframes today for itself – Yet shows others websites in iFrame

I just found out that Google has stopped loading when opened from inside an iframe using some server side method.

I didn’t try much to dig which one they’re using and how exactly it can be spoofed though.

Google made this change today on tuesday, 19th october 2011.

When we try opening google.com in an iframe it serves a blank page. This page isn’t being emptied via javascript, it’s not being served from the server, just an empty page is being displayed.

However, google still continues to show other peoples websites in iframe (on images.google.com for example)

I’m not sure why Google has so much contradiction in what it wants for itself and what it does with other websites on the web.

There are still ways to bypass this blank page (I’m not sure about iframe though) but I’ve tested file_get_contents to be working fine with php.

Many other techniques can be implemented too.
