Skype users might be knowing that skype records all events such as instant messages, voice and video calls, file transfers and SMS etc. They are all stored and accessible from the chat window and also from the conversation tab by clicking on Show History button.
Some times you may need to delete skype history, however the option to delete skype chat and call history is not easily found as it’s burried deep inside the skype menus.
To delete skype conversation or call history you need to goto:
Top menu > Tools > Options
From the menu window that opens, select Privacy tab from left menu.
On this page look for Clear History button. A popup will appear asking you to confirm if you want to delete all previous text chats, voicemail, calls, file transfers and SMS message. Hit Delete and it’s all gone now!. It will delete skype call and chat history.
You can also disable or turn off skype history feature from the same Privacy options window too by select No History option under Keep History for.
