Couple of minutes ago a friend of mine asked me that she’s getting an error while trying to connect their ptcl evo usb broadband (evdo cdma) .
The error said that the username and password is wrong.
This post includes the default username and password for ptcl evo and what to do if that doesn’t work too.
PTCL EVO usb username and password
The username and password for ptcl evo internet usb are:
username: [email protected]
password: ptcl
Hope it helps you connect to your ptcl wireless broadband internet evdo.
What if the username and passwords for evo don’t work?
In some situations or on some devices the username and password for ptcl evo might not work. In such situations follow these steps:
- Make sure that the error is saying incorrect login credentials (or password only) and nothing else, if the error is for connection or other issues, please search for those accordingly
- Make sure that you’re entering the username and password correctly, sometimes when we copy and paste the text from one website to another page, special characters get added to it including blank space before or after the text and thus results in a entirely different username and / or password, therefore make sure that the copied username and password are perfectly correct, even better if you type them yourself in your ptcl evo settings panel
- Make sure that your evo connection hasn’t expired and there is still credit in your ptcl evo card balance.

Make sure you have your device activated and it’s fees is completely paid.
Check the ptcl helpline to see if your bill is completely paid or if you’re still short of money.
For activating your ptcl device, dial 080000789.
If you’re still having any difficulty in connecting your ptcl evo to the internet, contact ptcl support helpline for further assistance.
I have a problem. I just bought EVO and got it recharged. I have enough funds so that is not an issue.
Whenever i connect, it says: ” AUTHENTICATION ERROR, REMOTE CONNECTION WAS DENIED BECAUSE USERNAME AND PASSWORD COMBINATION YOU PROVIDED IS….. “
it takes some time for the evo to get registered,

did you call their service center for the logins relative to your device mustafa?
no, i received laptop from Pmln scheme they said to us 3 month free use evo 3g service two days i used free but now this is problem,,,THE REMOTE CONNECTION WAS DENIED BECAUSE USERNAME AND PASSWORD COMBINATION YOU PROVIDED IS
was it working before with the same combination? that’s strange if it was!
please check that you or someone else haven’t changed the logins by mistake, also try contacting the ptcl service center and see what they suggest, please tell us regarding the solution or update too!

you can get it sorted out by calling their helpline imho, let me know if you logged in successfully

have you consumed all the data in it? it may have reached the allowed data limit for your package.
I have same problem and i have not reached data limit yet. I recieved my laptop on 8th july. Every thing is fine except for Evo. I recharged it with Rs.50 /- as per instructions of Ptcl customer care. And i also followed activation guide and submitted ticket on HEC help desk. My evo was active for 3 days but now on connecting it says “AUTHENTICATION ERROR: REMOTE CONNECTION WAS DENIED BECAUSE USERNAME AND PASSWORD COMBINATION YOU PROVIDED IS NOT RECOGNIZED, OR SELECTED AUTHENTICATION PROTOCOL IS NOT PERMITTED ON REMOTE ACCESS SERVER.”. I again loaded Rs. 50/- but its still not active. So is the 3 month free package a fake or legit or i have done something wrong because focal person of my university was unable to guide me perfectly. It will be very kind of you if you help me out.. Thank you
It’s still the package expiry issue probably.
Did you call ptcl service center to confirm why your evo usb is giving the authentication error?
I went to there service centre in hyderabad but they were useless they said load 50 rs i load it it worked for 3 days then the error occured and no i haven’t call them which number to call i dont know
They provide only a small top up to your data limit at Rs 50, when it’s consumed the package expires again.
Also the bandwidth added by 50 rs load lasts for around a week only imho.

my evo usb working very slowly
Make sure that you’re in coverage area for ptcl evo. If not then try using external antenna.

I have rechared my 3G EVO usb(cdma-1xdo) but it cannot connect to internet and give an error.That the remote computer did not respond. I have used username as = [email protected] and password = ptcl.and is router nesessry for 3g evo usb.
No router isn’t necessary. The device should work fine after recharge if it isn’t disabled. Did you try calling the ptcl helpline?

Dear sir I have lost my EVO which was awarded me in the PM laptop scheme so how can I block it because it is activated on my name can you tell me the procedure of closing it or can I get an other EVO in replacement of it
Safari you’ll have to contact the ptcl helpline for this issue.
If you can’t get a proper answer on call then you must visit the nearest ptcl help center to get this solved for you.

I’m using evo since a month ago I’ve monthly pckg which is consumed but I recharged again and now when I try to connect it it gives error ‘Re remote connection was denied because the username and password u provided… Plz I need the web for some imp stuff help me to get rid out of this prob.. thanks..
Did you try calling the service centre? They might help you better in this regard.
