Extract this ZIP file to C:DFU.

Connect iPhone. Close iTunes when it appears.

Press Start and click Run. On Windows Vista/7 you have to type Run in the search box.

Then type

c:/dfu/dfu iBSS.m68ap.RELEASE.dfu

Your iPhone should turn white, and you should be in DFU. Worked for me.
