Microsoft changed the way how javascript is enabled in ie8. This tutorial explains how to enable javascript in ie8.
To enable javascript ie8 users should follow these steps:
Enable Javascript in ie8
1. Launch microsoft internet explorer
2. goto microsoft ie8 top menu (press alt to make it visible if the browser menu is hidden)
3. select Tools > Internet options
4. on ie8 internet options page goto: security tab > internet
5. Move the security level slider to medium (to enable javascript in ie8 for trusted sites) or to low (if you want to allow javascript in internet explorer 8 for all websites)
6. Apply these settings and refresh your browser window or restart your browser
Confirm that the above steps worked to enable javascript in ie8.
Note: Moving the slider to High will disable javascript on ie8 for all websites
